A public hearing called pursuant to ORS 526.328(1),
relating to preliminary forestland classifications adopted by the Deschutes
County Forestland Classification Committee, was convened at 6:46 pm on Monday,
December 3, 2018. This hearing was to
take testimony on work done by the Classification Committee in Crook County.
People attending the hearing were asked to sign
registration forms and to indicate if they wanted to present oral comments to
the Committee. They were informed of the
procedures for making oral comments and for submitting written comments.
Before receiving oral comments, I briefly summarized the
purpose for the hearing, described the role and limitations of the Hearing
Officer and the Classification Committee.
I also outlined requirements the Committee must adhere to when reviewing
written comments submitted following the public hearing. I indicated the opportunity to submit written
comments would remain open until 5:00 pm on December 10, 2018. In addition, it was noted that the
proceedings of the public hearing were being recorded.
At the hearing, no names were entered on the public
hearing testimony sign-in sheet. Of the
one individual in attendance, no oral comments were provided. The complete audio of the public hearing is

Following the public hearing on December 3, 2018, the
Committee received no written testimonies by the 5:00 pm deadline on December
10, 2018.
